Try playing 4K video files before anything else. I automate mine on the start of the box to play short 4k video file since the issue is persistent on every reboot.

4K video is help.  I did it.  Movie in any application is back to normal not dark like it use to be.

I hope Beelink will release new firmware to fix this bug.

Thanks for the hint. Problem was solved with this workaround. Waiting for bugfix from Beelink.

I have the same problem with KODI, movies and everything in general look very dark. Seems like this a bug and you guys came up with a workaround, i have no idea how to do it tho :(

Same answer different post,
When playing any movie in Kodi bottom right there is a movie reel icon pick it, you will see brightness setting try different numbers I like 55%.  After that go back one you will be back to the first menu go all the way down and pick apply to all media.  Bam done.

i don't think this has anything to do with color settings, even when i set my tv to an extremely bright setting it's still dark.
