I recently bought the Beelink G1 ultimate. But I have had some problems with it, and I am almost to give up, since it seems to me that it can not be fixed.

The problems are:
- it freezes sometimes, especially when it has not been used for a while
- if I choose to put it in sleep mode, it can not wake up again
- if i choose to reboot, it will freeze during power up
- if I choose to power off, it will freeze during boot
- during install of an app it may freeze to

I have done a factory reset many times now, and even there it often freezes during the reset procedure.

The only way to make it "a live" seems to be to remove the power chord and wait a while. Even so this procedure must be repeated many times in a sequence in order to work.

Did any of you experience similar problems?

And if the problem can not be solved - how do I get a refund?

Wow. Those are problems. I've helped many people buy GT1 Ultimate boxes. I only seen one box that was defective, and issued product return via place of purchase. The screen would get distorted and loose part of half of the screen just merely browsing through Android settings.

Did you do manual firmware upgrade?

Thank you very much for your quick reply!

No, I have not made any manual firmware upgrade, and I don'tthink it is been updated OTA (but I'm not totally sure). I've done a reset via the Settings-menu, and that went smooth (did it three times). Only thing is, that it has a hard time in booting correctly after that. It is stuck in the boot process (in different steps of the boot process each time), but with patiently disconnecting from power, waiting.... and reconnecting, it can open the main menu. But if I try to install an app, e.g. Kodi Mediacenter or any other, it sometimes can not wake up from sleep mode. It will also freeze as discribes in former post.

The software reset via Android settings... I would just try the hardware factory reset via recovery mode. You unplug the adapter from the box. You use a paper-clip and carefully insert the one end into the RESET hole underneath of the box near one corner. When you flip the box upside down, rotating to either the left or to the right. It should be found near the top-left corner then. While carefully holding the reset button down with the paper-clip, you carefully re-plug in the adapter and wait for the Beelink logo screen before releasing the reset button. You should be-able to continue from this point on your own. However, everything you've done to customize the box will all be lost.

OK, thank you - I will try that. In any case I will come back to you here in this forum in a few days with the result.

Best regards!

After the factory reset with the paper clip it is now stuck in the boot procedure displaying "be link - Make you life colorful" - which is just like before. After unplugging power chord, waiting...., plug in power chord, the boot logo and text is displayed and then: black screen.

Any suggestions now?

I made some photos from the reset procedure.
1) "reset-menu.jpg" - displaying the recovery menu, from which I chose "Wipe date/factory reset"
2) "post-recovery-text.jpg" - displaying the text immidiately after the factory reset

The second time I did it I also tried "Mount /system", but same text was displayed

Well, after unplugging again, now for more than 10 minutes, it is now displaying the "Welcome" screen. I will configure it now, like many times before now, but this time hopefully with a little more succes. Thank you for your time! I will come back in a few days.

I was experiencing similar issues on my GT1 Ultimate which came with GT1_312M0 firmware, but when trying to revert to the official OEM GT1_311M0 release posted on this forum I ended up corrupting the bootloader so bad that I couldn't recover with USB Burning Tool.  Also, I was unable to enter Mask ROM Mode for a hard factory reset because of the surface mounted eMMC.  Many others have bricked their GT1 Ultimates in a similar way.

So, be very careful.
