Hello everyone, I recently purchased a Beelink EQ12 mini PC and have run into a small issue. While moving to a new place, I accidentally forgot the original power adapter. The original adapter specifications for the Beelink EQ12 are: - Voltage: 19V
- Current: 3.42A
I have another power adapter available with the following specifications: - Voltage: 19.5V
- Current: 7.7A
I need to determine if using this adapter is within the safe tolerance range for the EQ12. My understanding is that the device should only draw the current it needs (3.42A), and the slight voltage difference (0.5V higher) might be acceptable. In addition, I will need to change the connector to match the EQ12's plug size. The adapter I have now uses a 4.5mm x 3.0mm connector, while the EQ12 uses a 5.5mm x 2.5mm plug. Questions:- Is a 19.5V 7.7A power adapter within the safe tolerance range for the Beelink EQ12?
- Will I only need to buy a connector change from 4.5x3.0 to 2.5x5.5 DC plug, and that's all?
- Or should I purchase a new power adapter to match the exact 19V 3.42A specifications?
I appreciate any advice or insights from those who know or have experience with Beelink mini PCs or similar situations. Thank you
