Hello valued Beelink support,
I have noticed that my Beelink SEi14
the case gets very warm after shutting down Windows 11.
After shutdown the LED and the fan turn off
The latest available BIOS is installed: SEi14T118

The device then gets warmer than in idle.

Do you have any idea what could be wrong?

Best regards,
Michael

Hi Michael,

It's possible that the USB port remaining powered could be contributing to the warmth of the SEi14 case after shutdown. When the USB port has power, some components within the device might still be in a low-power state, generating a small amount of heat.
Could you please unplug the power supply to see if it still gets warmer ?

Hi  Michael,
You can also try to turn off the fast startup to see if it works.

Go to Control Panel, click the Power Options. Select the Choose what the power buttons do. Uncheck the Turn on fast startup (recommended).Select Save Settings.

Valued support,
I think in your first tip you meant to unplug the USB devices as a test?
Because when I unplug powersupply, it naturally cools down to room temperature :-)
Unplugging the USB devices actually reduces the heat development in the shutdown state.

But compared to my Beelink SER8 it is too warm still.

Regarding your tip about disabling fast startup, I'll give it a try.

I will give feedback as soon as I know more.

Kind regards,
Michael

Dear Support,

Your last tip with the “Uncheck the Turn on fast startup”
has solved the problem.
The device no longer heats up when it is shut down.

Thank you a lot.

Kindly regards,
Michael
