Hello, is there enough space for an ssd with heatsink in the SER7?  I am considering to buy a Lexar NM790 (with heatsink) 4TB.

Hello there,

Could you please provide the link of this SSD you need to install?

We need to know the specific thickness of this SSD to answer your question.

Have a nice day!

The SER7 (and also the SER6 with the 6900HX 2024 series) have integrated heatsinks for the SSDs, you only need to buy an NVMe SSD without a heatsink. The thermal pad is also already installed on these systems.

As long as the Lexar NM790 (good choice by the way) is single sided with 4TB of storage, this should be no issues and the SSDs is cooled perfectly fine by the internal heatsink. Both also have small fans, that can help also to cool the SSDs, the fan is mainly for the RAM cooling but a bit of cooling also will be engaged for the SSD.
