I currently have the Radeon drivers installed on my GTR5 that came with the PC when delivered (running Windows 11). I have the GTR5 connected to a 4k Sony TV with 4096x2160 @ 60Hz.

I often get a pop up message saying that updated drivers are available for my PC (Radeon Adrenalin), but when I perform this update, I no longer have an option to set the GTR5 resolution to 4096x2160 @ 60Hz. I can set it to either 4096x2160 @ 30Hz, or 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz.

Which drivers do I need to download in order to update my Radeon drivers, but which also allows me to keep the PC resolution set to 4096x2160 @ 60Hz? I've tried looking for the appropriate drivers on the Beelink site, but they are not labelled well so I'm not sure which file(s) I need. When I do go to download any files from the site, the download speed is extremely slow and often times out.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello there,
Please go to AMD website and download the auto-detect program.

It will update some chipsets and video drivers automatically. It will identify and install appropriate drivers for their AMD hardware. The program works by scanning the user’s system to detect the installed AMD hardware components, such as graphics cards or processors. It then compares the detected hardware information with a database of AMD drivers and software versions.

Yep and when I do so I lose the ability to display 4k@60Hz on my TV with newer Radeon drivers and software. I really wish it was as simple as you say.

I installed the drivers you linked to and of course I lost the ability to set my display back to 4k@60Hz. The maximum refresh rate with these drivers at 4k is 30Hz, just like all other drivers I’ve tried to upgrade to.

I’m having to roll back to the Radeon driver version “radeon-software-adrenalin-2020-21.10.2-win10-win11-64bit-oct25.exe” again, which is what was installed on my GTR5 when I purchased it, and the only drivers which will allow me to set 4k@60Hz.

I’ll have to live with the fact I cannot update my display drivers on this PC. I’m currently looking to buy another mini PC but I won’t be looking at Beelink products again as not being able to update drivers on it is very poor…

Sorry, the newer drivers are not meant to be the most compatible with the machine. So we suggest you could keep the original driver version.
