In SER7 7840HS is any option on software fan control? Under linux, windows i do not have access to fan speed sensors or fan speed control.

Checked windows 10, 11 with popular fan control and sensors software.

Linux kernel form 5.5 to 6.8 the same, no access to any fan devices. In linux in lm-sensors i can detect superIO IC IT5571, with one may have access to fan, but not supported yet by any soft.

My question, is passible any control fan speed/read speed or it's only controled by BIOS

The fan speed should be able to be adjusted in the BIOS although, you need to experiment with the settings that are found, when you disable auto mode.

What is controlling directly the fan speed is if you set the power profile for the CPU from Performance to Balanced or Silent, this is controlling indirectly the fan speed. Performance should be the best and the fan would be louder with high CPU load than when setting the performace to balanced or silent. it basically changes the power and not the fan speed, but it will also of course reduce the fan noise if the CPU gets less power.
