1.You can also try Software : SpeedFan to optimize the fan .
2 .Add a small amount of nonconducting lubricant to the fan shaft :
Remove the fan and cleaned it
Apply a very small amount of nonconducting lubricant to the shaft.
and reassembled the unit.
Thanks for the reply but it's the fan on top, not the one that's easy to get to. I'm assuming it's actually the CPU fan. It would require removing the motherboard.
Because it was only 3 weeks old, and I bought it from Amazon, I returned it while it was still in the return window. I really love the computer and I'm assuming this was a 1-off defect since I couldn't find another person that had the problem so I reordered it.
