I upgraded the firmware on mine.  The instructions say how to build a bootable USB stick, but from Windows.

I don't really understand what the instructions did.  Maybe they would work on Linux, but there were hints that it might be using Windows PE (eg. the disk label they specified) and that might require some files from the Windows system.

Beware: a dual-boot Linux system needs a larger ESP (EFI System Partition).  This would become more important if Bee-Link supported the fwupd.org service since updates get staged in the ESP (no need for USB stick).  I sure hope that they do support it.

Please send us SN picture and BIOS version

So we would be able to know whether it is latest BIOS and send you files accordingly.

Here`s how to check your BIOS version:

Thanks for getting back to me so soon. Here's the info you aksed for. I put two pictures that show the BIOS version number, and the serial number on the bottom of the mini-pc.
Thanks, John

Thanks for the info, as I was able to successfully update my BIOS from v27 to v30. It was a bit hard to see the screen info, as it looked very washed out and hard to read. So I adjusted my monitor to compensate for the light text & background, and all went smoothly. Thanks for helping me with this!

Thanks for this post, yes I thought the same about making a Windows 11 PE boot disk, and I could have done this as I have another mini-pc with Windows 11 Pro on it. I will try making a proper Windows 11 PE boot disk & let you know if this works better for doing a BIOS update. One thing I noticed is that at least two of the BIOS files were ms-dos files, so maybe they need the Windows 11 system files to work best? Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. I do have two mini-pc's, one with Windows 11 & the other with Linux Mint 21.3 Cinnamon edition.
