Hello there,

Thanks for your letter and sorry for the late reply.

I unchecked "Allow the computer to turn off the device to save power". However, when I connect the ssd directly to the front usb port, I still get an IO Error in event viewer.
Currently, the only solution is to connect a USB hub that provides auxiliary power to the front USB port of the Beelink and then connect the SSD to the USB hub.
Again, the product page for the Beelink EQ12 says it supports usb 3.2, but it doesn't seem to be usb 3.2, and if that's definitely the case, it's false advertising.

Our machine can supports USB3.2, and for your Ugreen SSD, there are incompatibility issues, so your machine can not recognize it, may I ask you have you tried other device with the machine's front USB 3.2 port?

Looking forward to your feedback so that we can help you better.
Have a nice day!

No. Beelink EQ12 can recognize Ugreen SSD if additional power is supplied through a USB hub.
I don't think you quite understand the problem, so let me explain again.
Beelink EQ12 is advertised as supporting USB 3.2, and the USB port must deliver up to 7.5w of power to meet the USB 3.2 standard.
Ugreen SSD requires 5.5w of power and when I connect Ugreen SSD directly to front USB port of Beelink EQ12, it doesn't work properly due to lack of power. Therefore, this is evidence that the USB port of Beelink EQ12 does not support USB 3.2. Surprisingly, Ugreen SSD works really well when provided with additional power via a USB hub!

And if there is a compatibility issue, how can you explain why connecting a Ugreen SSD to Beelink EQ12 works fine if I provide additional power?

Sorry, our machine has three USB3.2 ports. Two are the machine's native ports and one is an expanded port. All three ports have very standard power output, but for your Ugreen SSD which has high power supply requirements,  this expanded USB3.2 port may not be as stable as the other two. Therefore, devices with relatively high power supply requirements cannot be recognized as normally as the other two USB3.2 ports.

Hope it can help you and have a nice day!
