SEi12 i5-1235U won't function with 64GB memory upgrade

Hi,

I'm having an issue with a Beelink SEi12 i5-1235U. To be exact:
SEI12-A-16500VKOW64PRO
SN: 1235U2AE10133

The unit won't output video when upgrading to 64GB (two 32GB modules) when BOTH modules are installed at the same time.
I've tried:

TEAMGROUP Elite DDR4 64GB Kit (2 x 32GB) 3200MHz PC4-25600 CL22 Unbuffered Non-ECC 1.2V SODIMM 260-Pin Laptop Notebook PC Computer Memory Module Ram Upgrade - TED464G3200C22DC-S01 (ASIN: B08TQBY2NR)

I've also tried:

Crucial RAM 64GB Kit (2x32GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL22 (or 2933MHz or 2666MHz) Laptop Memory CT2K32G4SFD832A (ASIN: B07ZLCVKPV)

The result is the same, regardless of resetting the CMOS, or swapping the memory module slots:
The fan turns on and stays on, no video is output for at least 10 minutes.

Hi Dave if you're still out there, it has to do with the frequency of the RAM as set in the BIOS. There is an other post that has steps that are basically find a lower frequency that both sticks work at. Start at the lowest freqency available in the BIOS with one stick, and then see if you can boot two. Go up from there. My Vengeance 3200 runs two 16gb sticks at 2667 mhz. I had to reset the bios at least once. I think this is a BIOS issue and not a hardware issue (at least not the RAM slot or sticks).

Sorry for the trouble. The PC has one-year warranty.
There might be something wrong with your RAM port.
How about you send the item back for a replacement ?

I have the same issue. I'm trying to upgrade to 2 x 16gb and the symptoms are the same. Can support post what RAM is compatible with the system? I'm using Corsair Vengeance. I don't think there is anything wrong with the slot, this seems like a software issue.

Hello there,

It is not about the RAM brand. It probably has something to do with the slot.

So you can add two 16GB by adjusting the frequency in the BIOS ?

Yes, that worked for me. In the BIOS: Chipset -> System Agent Configuration -> Memory -> Maximum Memory Frequency. Mine was set to auto out of the box.

I purchased 64GB and when installing it it didn't work.
I tried several possibilities and confirmed that both connectors are working.
I then followed the adampdx guidance and reduced the memory clock to 2667.
IT WORKED :-)
