Hello All

New owner of SER 5 PRO here, 32GB / 1TB SSD

So far so good, quite speedy

just installed temperature monitor and noticed that the resting temperature is about 50 degrees celcius and spiking up to 65 (not doing anything much) - browser open on google but no video site loaded - is this normal?

Used a monitor and saw that it went up to 73 degrees occassionally without doing anything, it would usually rest at about 50 degrees tho

I havent done anything major yet like playing games, a little bit concerned about the temperature hitting 80-100 too easily as I heard its no good to let it hit 100?

Did i get a lemon or is the SER5 PRO just runs like this?

Hello, this has a laptop CPU/GPU (SOC) and is normal temps to be 45-55C in idle, even 60. What you see higher, are spikes that don't last. Depends a lot on ambient temperature, what it does, etc. You can play games without problems, even if you see 90C+ temps don't worry, the CPU protects itself and won't fry :).
