On a new machine I was asked by the beelink support to reseat the network card because it was not working. So I had to open it and I noticed that the outer casing / sticker of the NvMe drive (crucial) has been removed. I understand that the outer casing / sticker of NvMe is used for heat spreading and it is advisable to use an additional heatsink in some cases.
So, I wonder why they would do that? won't it reduce the lifespan of the NvMe drive? Is it advisable to add an after market heatsink on the NvMe?
Hello there,
Thanks for your letter, if your ssd heatsink is removed, you could add one , that is okay, that would not reduce the lifespan of your ssd. if you need one heatsink , you could contact us: support-pc@bee-link.com
Have a nice day!
