Greetings,

I just got my hot new Mini S 12, and I would like to install linux on it.

But I can't seem to find a live distro that will actually boot. I've tried ubuntu and debian, on different thumb drive and even burned a DVD with the latest ubuntu. I've also tried different tools to burn (etcher, rufus, Mac command line).

I couldn't get anything to boot under UEFI.

I restart, use F7 to access the boot menu, arrow down to the correct mount point (which shows up correctly), and select the boot volume.

Screen blinks. There might be text, but it's too quick to read. And then the same boot manu appears. Selecting the same drive fails the same way.

Only way forward is to boot from original Windows partition.

What linux distributions are officially supported? Which architecture? Is there a different way to install a linux kernel?

Thanks,

Paul

I found the problem. All the downloads were marked "amd64".... Which I guess us what's required for the new Alder Lake.
