I recently bought "SER6 Pro 7735HS" and when using the Display port, the screen doesn't look good. If you change the "Advance / Power Limit" option in the BIOS to 45W, the problem is more obvious. With HDMI no problem. It happens to someone else?

My configuration is:

BIOS Version 1.13
3840 x 2160 119.88Hz
Windows 11 PRO 22H2
AMD Software: version Adrenalin Edition 23.5.2

Does it look dull, no brightness to it or something else?

White spots appear that last a few milliseconds. Also from time to time the screen turns off and on again.

Describing problem that occurs with loose, or bad cables or faulting ports. You tried unplugging and re-plugging? What DisplayPort cable you using exactly?

I have a similar problem with HDMI 2 on my 7735 HS, doesn't have DP since is from 1st series of PC's with this CPU. Monitor is OK because I used it on my previous PC on display port and worked fine. From time to time the image disappears for 1 second and comes back. I already changed cable and I don't think is from driver because the other monitor, which is connected on HDMI 1 doesn't do anything, works great. Is a little frustrating because in gaming can get you killed and stuff. Any idea if I can use a USB-C to display port from the Type-C socket? Will it work?

I have the LS28AG700NUXEN Samsung monitor, the DP is 1.4 version. I have changed the cable and the experience has been worse because I have had to lower the frequency to 60Hz. A higher frequency, the screen stayed black.

From time to time the image disappears for 1 second and comes back too.

I have the same results with the DP port not supporting refresh rates higher than 60Hz for higher resolutions. From what I remember this was reportedly a known issue with this AMD chipset, or at least on these devices with this chipset. I am not sure if this is something that can be fixed with an AMD driver/firmware update down the road, or if that DP/second HDMI port is just somehow wired up differently. This is probably also why refresh rates higher than 60Hz are not officially supported through these ports, something to keep in mind.

I can confirm with my unit that 4K@120Hz works fine over the (first) HDMI port when testing with my TV, and my ultrawide (5120x1440) works at 120Hz through the USB4 port on the front of the device using DP Alt mode (using a USBC to DisplayPort cable). For now I've personally settled on just using my display at 60Hz over the DP port. It's a downgrade, but I really don't like having a USBC cable dangle out from the front of the device.

Well my monitor is Asus TUF Gaming VG32VQ 1440p 144Hz, put in 1080p for esports and I can confirm that on HDMI 2 the refresh rate is 144Hz permanently (disabled freesync). All works but I have that nasty 1 sec turn off that drives me nuts. I'm thinking about using Type-C to DP cable, but sticking a cable from front is not so appealing. I'm also on 1.13 BIOS version and chipset and GPU drivers are the latest.
