This is always formatted answer. Did you really read my two last post ? I've made them with love in mind....
Could you make the same? Make an effort please...

Motherboard limitation? How ? An intentional bios limitation so ?

Why some users on reddit report that they are running with 8TB in their SER5?

SSD limited to 2TB???  Oh dear.    My 5800H is being delivered tomorrow, along with a 4TB 7mm SSD. It's the whole reason I bought this little box.  What a disappointment. That's 600 bucks down the tube, dammit.

Update on 12 Dec 2023 (5 days later): Well, I decided to try the 4TB Samsung SSD anyway.  So far it works without issue.  I haven't set anything special in the BIOS, and power settings are factory default.  What a relief!

Hi,

I ordered the SER 5 max 5800h a few days ago and I installed a 4 TB SATA SSD and 64 GB or RAM with no issue at all. I didn't swap the NVMe SSD yet but I probably will eventually.

I don't think there is any hardware limitation at all, but I can't know for sure yet.
4 TB NVMe SSDs are still a bit expensive so I'm not in a hurry to try for now.

Thanks RotoGluOn.  Your post is most reassuring. I've updated mine to say that all seems to be fine with the 4TB SSD.  It's a huge relief.
I agree - the 4TB NVMe is just too pricey for this little box.

My beelink mini S also does not work with a 4TB SSD which is new and tested on windows and linux. I have also tried splitting it into two partitions thinking that may fix the problem but no. If I attach the SSD while I'm already in Ubuntu server the disk is recognized and works completely fine (health, speed, reliability).

The AHCI SATA controller on this mini pc (Intel Jasper Lake SATA AHCI Controller) fully supports large modern disks.

Not getting any support from the beelink team is simply unprofessional and should get more attention from the new potential buyers.

There are many thread on the forum about that, but no serious and complete answer from support each  ...

hello there,
If the machine can only accommodate a maximum of 4TB SSD, exceeding this capacity will result in the inability to recognize the excess storage space.
