SER5 5500U Black Screen

Hi,

I had my SER5 5500U for a month working OK, but today when I booted my PC it stayed with black screen, it doesn't show the bios screen and neither respond to DELETE or F7. I've previously configured a Windows remote connection and tried, so I know for certain that the PC is not booting. Despite this, I tried both HDMIs, just in case, but it doesn't respond.
I cleared CMOS, but it didn't work either.
Any ideas of what might be happening and what can I do?

Hello, you can try to open the unit, remove the RAM stick (if they are two, remove one, try to start it with one, change the slot if it doesn't start, repeat with the second stick). Also you can try to clean the contacts of SO-DIMM's and slots with WD-40 then reinsert, one at a time. You cannot do much on this unit, since is not a desktop PC, except playing with the RAM sticks (SO-DIMM).

If these steps don't work, start procedures for RMA.

Hi! Removing and cleaning the RAM modules made the trick. The SER5 is now working as usual. Thanks a lot!
