Beelink needs to better handle fans.
I understand that at high loads in these small machines noise might be inevitable.
But at idle or low loads, even when I saw the cpu only at 40c, the fans were quite audible/loud.
Additionally, at any hint of usage they cranked up.
If Beelink wants to focus on one thing to fix for their machines, it should be better fan/thermal management.
1. Build in smarter fan curves. At idle/low load fan should be at lowest setting until temp rises. Under initial/moderate load, fans should only ramp up a little bit to start. They seem to go from minimum to full blast all the time.
2. GTR6 with monitor off goes crazy. Fan cycles on/off/on/off all the time while just idling
3. Beelink should use more standard fan controllers that 3rd party software can read and control with apps like FanControl on Github. |
