FYI GTR 5 and GTR 6 new fingerprint driver -11/29/22

If you have problems with Windows 11 version 22H2 and your fingerprint sensor,  Beelink has posted a new driver on their website (Support -> Driver and downloads)



I tried it and for the first time I could use the fingerprint sensor to log in.

After taking a quick look at the INF file inside the unpacked files I think that this driver will work also with earlier versions of Windows.

So try it out!

P.S.: you need Winzip, 7 -ZIP or so to unpack the downloaded file. It is a RAR file.

That's right, it doesn't work for me either, maybe you should record your fingerprint again, I haven't tried it, I just reverted to the old version of the driver and everything is fine.

The finger print scanner doesn't seem to initially work on a cold boot.
Once in Windows, it seems OK, or if I restart the system, it seems fine.
Really odd, it's as though the device isn't registering until on the desktop.

For original drivers (you'll have to download all drivers... all drivers in one big package)... well, drivers which came with your machine;

On the list, look for "Drivers" dated 2022-01-16

I'm using a GTR5 5900HX. Old drivers should work. I am using Windows drivers version 3.6.2.3 (dated: 10/28/2022) without any problems.

On the list, look for "Driver for GTR6900" dated 2022-11-08

You may prefer other sources i.e. Microsoft Drivers Catalog (https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Home.aspx) etc...
