My Ser4 4700u arrived today.
I have a usb keyboard and a 1920x1080 iiyama monitor connected by HDMI.
Windows 11 works fine and displays on monitor correctly.
BIOS menu does not display. Monitor says out of range.
I have tried:
turning power on and hitting delete repeatedly
turning power on and hitting f7 repeatedly
using a paperclip to reset the cmos (holding in for more than 7 seconds) when unplugged from power cable
using both HDMI ports on mini computer and also the USB C port (using HDMI to USB c adaptor)
I also tried going into Windows Settings->Recovery->Advanced->Reset startup (which should reboot into BIOS menu but it reboots and I get monitor out of range again)

Can you tell me how to get the BIOS menu to display please?

I want to boot from a USB drive to install Arch linux.

Thanks.

Solved it!

I plugged it into a TV rather than a PC monitor and it worked immediately and showed the BIOS menu. I have changed the boot order to boot from USB first and after a power off and power on again it booted straight into the Arch linux installation USB drive.

I will now try it with the PC monitor and know that if necessary I can setup the computer using the TV.

I hope that this helps someone else.

Tim.
