Logitech K 400/unifying not working

Tried to connect Logi K400 with unifying receiver, was recognized in configuration, but doesn't work. Anybody tried this sucessfully, how?

My K400r worked immediately without making any changes.

I did have to select English (UK) under Physical keyboard in order that it reflected my UK keyboard layout though
