Hi, just wanted to know something, maybe bee-link already aware and working on a fix.

I had to downgrade back to 104 because on 106, my Cable TV/Vod streaming app stopped working.

I read somewhere that 106 has root leftovers and these apps don't like root. I checked build.prop on 104 and it has the word "test" in it, so also this theory is eliminated.
(Some think this is how TV companies recognise rooted ROMs)

Thanks and sorry if duplicate....

Not exactly sure what you are trying to accomplish here.

You can upgrade to 106 then manually remove root see here: http://www.bee-link.com/forum.ph ... 5&fromuid=11301

As an alternative to removing root you can look into an app like SUHide: http://www.xda-developers.com/ex ... -from-applications/

I haven't tried SUHide but those are your options for having the latest firmware while still using your root aware apps.

Hi jw429, thanks !

They just published today a 106 version without root, so when i get home from work i'm going to try that.

Hiding root didn't work with Xpose , didn't try SUHide also but since i don't want root anyway, this new 106 has my hopes up.

Thanks !
