Remote control stopped working

I own a GT-King with serial number B922HQKF*****. My remote control, with USB dongle, stopped working for no reason. If I remember right, there was a green light on for a while on the control, but nothing now, even with brand-new batteries. I thought that installing the newest firmware could solve the problems however, after successful installation and while setting the unit up, I get in the page that I need to select the type of remote by pressing the equivalent buttons. Since the control still is not working, I am stuck there. I also tried to proceed with an external keyboard without success. Powering off and on brings me back to the same page.

What am I supposed to do?

Giving my own answer!  Found that I had to pair the control again by pressing Back and OK for 4 seconds. Tried but nothing. I checked my batteries with a tester once again, and they looked ok. Well they weren't! I used a new set and voilà! The green light was on and pairing was successful! Happy owner again!
