Is it possible to have an M2 installed as the boot drive an a SATA ssd as a secondary drive (d)?

My current boot is an M2 and I have a SATA here I'm trying to install and the system doesnt seem to recognize it.

Thanks in advance.

Answered my own question here.
Yes both can be used.  I was forgetting to activate the new drive in Disk Management.

Once I activated and formatted, it looks good.

Just to confirm - I have all 3 types of drives installed in my GTR:
1. M.2 NVME 256 GB (boot)
2. M.2 SATA 1 TB
3. SATA plate HDD - 2TB
Works flawlessly.

I used Samsung 860 EVO for that purpose. Not the cheapest and easiest to find, but still I wanted this to be reliable solution.
