Has anyone updated their SEi8 i5-8259U or SEi8 i5-8279U to Windows 11?
I have found a problem with the "Display adapter" "Intel(R) Iris(R) Plus Graphics 655" driver version "27.20.100.8935" dated "10/28/2020". This is as viewed in "Device Manager". The following Windows 11 applications are not working properly with this driver as they immediately close when trying to run them:
1. Microsoft Teams
2. Widgets
3. Chat
If I "Disable device" in "Device Manager" > "Display adapter" > "Intel(R) Iris(R) Plus Graphics 655" and reboot these applications work just fine.
I have found an updated driver on Intel's web site. It's:
"Intel® Graphics – Windows* DCH Drivers" Version: 30.0.101.1069 dated 11/10/2021.
I can install this driver and reboot and the applications work for a while, but Windows 11 automatically "updates" this driver back to the old driver version "27.20.100.8935" dated "10/28/2020" and the applications no longer work.
I have 3 Beelink systems and the 2 I have updated to Windows 11 do the same thing.
I have submitted this issue to Beelink Support and have not heard back yet.
