If you connect the first EtherNet port to your router for internet access what can you use the second Ethernet Port for?  Does it act like a PassThrough Switch Port back to the Router?  Is the GTR Ethernet Port acts like a HUB?

It works like independent second netowrk card. You can do whatever you want/need it for. Most home users will have limited use for the additional port.
To use it as a switch (passthru as you called it) you need to bridge those interfaces in Windows (there is an option to merge two ports into bridge in Windows).
You could also connect 2nd network that can be usable if you have a slave device network like NDI (video from cameras provided through network) for live video setup. Other uses might be router/firewall setup and so on. If you have a proper hardware (expensive switch), you could bond the two cards to create 2GBps network connection.

Hi, dear
In windows system, usually we use a second Ethernet port to connect to corporate intranet, or some special working environment to use two networks, in some linux system, you can set up two Ethernet ports which can be implemented like a pass-through switch port back to the router, or as a HUB.
