I was doing the same in the tutorial, pressing start and then connecting the usb and power cable to the computer without success. I switched to a notebook and didn't recognize it either. Yesterday, I plugged in USB and power at the same time, and recognized. I don't know what I did differently, I had already tried to plug in at the same time, but this time after several attempts, it worked.
