This has probably been asked before but since forum doesn't have a search feature ...

Does the GtKing optical out have its volume and mute controlled by the remote control  OR  is it a fixed level?

The GtKing video/audio out port DOES do this, but doesnt seem to play 'nice' and almost ANY type of connection to it
causes my box to become unstable at 4K 60hz 4.4.4 output; forcing me down to 4K30hz 4.2.0  which doesn't meet my needs.

I have tried HDMI switchers / audio extractors, but most of them create a lot of other un desired problems. (NO CEC, NO ARC, NO HDCP, etc )

Thanks in advance for any answers.

Volume is controlled by amplifier

Ok .. thanks for confirming this.  Unfortunately that means having another remote to control amplified speakers which is not desirable.
Maybe in 'future' firmware you could add an option for optical out to be either fixed or variable output.

FYI: My SHARP 4K TV does offer this option for both headphone / speaker out AND for optical out

****   EDIT  ----  UPDATE  ****

Sorry Beelink, BUT your reply was WRONG.

I just tried on my box ( B922xxx Version )  and the optical out volume IS actually controlled and muted by the box.. it is NOT a fixed level output  which is "good news" ( at least for me )
