What kind of video? What format is it? What audio decoder it should use? Are you using Kodi?

same problem here. 4k playback via Kodi doesn't work. audio only, no video. Vlc plays some files but gets a lot of errors. You can play 4k files only from the file browser via the player that came with the gt1.

17.3 beta - everything works! All videos 4k. Starting with 16.1 and the lower - half of the rollers is not working (I have sound no video, or is just a gray screen).

can you install the 17.3 beta and not lose any of the configs & addons? or perhaps install it as a separate app [both 16.1 and 17.3 working]?

You can install Kodi 17.x beta over the stable build and not loose any configs or add-ons.  You should back-up your config folder before you do so tho.  See the Kodi forum on how to backup.

I'm not sure about running both Stable and Beta at the same time but you will find better info on that at the Kodi forums.  Alternatively you can run SPMC which is a Stable fork of Kodi alongside the Beta of Krypton 17.x.
