Hello Beelink support,
I have purchased the L55 model approximately 1 year ago (Intel I3-5005U, 8GB DDR3L, SSD 256GB) and I have been using this mini PC with OpenMediaVault as NAS, with low usage and low CPU stress, really. It's operational 24/24h.
I realised few days ago, after being away for a week, that the L55's CPU fan started making noise when running... even at low speeds for minor CPU stress :-(
The L55 CPU remains idle, really, so the fan would start only based on temporary CPU load, not often. In the first months, I could only hear the fan kick-in when there was some intense work e.g. updates, but otherwise was silent.
Now, the fan seems to make some low-level (Decibels dB) noise each time it starts, when in low rotation, and it is annoying as well as disappointing. I did not expect this to happen. Fast fan rotation noise, is understandable.
a) I intend to open the L55 case, and carefully lift the motherboard, and blow the fan with a special compressed-air spray cleaner for such use. Will it have any improvement at all, you think? I have this product: https://www.amazon.fr/AAB-Pr%C3% ... ment/dp/B075SX491N/
b) Do you suggest I buy a special cleaning spray for the fan's ball-bearing ? Will the cleaner spray have any positive result to the noise? I was considering this product that has no grease: https://www.amazon.fr/3-en-33324-Huile-usage-240ml/dp/B009L0S4W6
c) Can you please provide the data-sheet / spec-sheet PDF of the fan used, in case I can find one in the market one at higher quality? Do you sell them?
Many thanks for your reply. Xie Xie
