I have experienced update problems from the get-go with my BT3. Shelved it for 12 months. Then, I got a little bold 2 weeks ago and decided to load Linux Mint on it (first time I have ever tried Linux anything, but what the hell, the BT3 was going to the garbage anyways.)
Loaded Linux Mint 64 bit on BT3 14 days ago. Thanks to all of the Pioneers, it works. WIFI doesn't. Fixed with TPLink dongle. BT3 works but audio is choppy. I haven't figured out how to disable on-board BT so I can use the BT5 or TPLink BT4 dongles that I purchased. Connected to my old Toshiba DynaDock, works. Additional monitor(s) as well as USB ports. Now to learn some more so I can make use of my "new" toy and maybe rebuild my Phenom II PC and load Linux on it. |
