Yes but in my 4k tv all works well!
So , i assume it has something to do with your tv!
In my sony 4k tv the upper black place of infos , were opening and close every time i was moved my cursor on Android OS !
It was very very annoning ...
I couldn't  see anything....!
My gt king was working ok on my old lcd philips FHD and in my neighbor's 49 4k lg!
But not in mine!
And boom....!
The solution was very simple and in frond of me all the time !
But , like you , i didn't beleive that this setting on my tv would give me this result !
That's and only that's i'm saying !!!!
That it must be some kind of incompatibility with your tv settings somehow !
CoreElec is a different ''story'' here!
You must also know that other tv boxes use a lock 4k UI to preventing this kind of problems!!!
Good luck!

If you:
- Go to "Droid settings > Display > Screen resolution".
- "Downgrande" and select 1080p60hz, for instance.
- Reboot your box.
- When it boots what is the screen resolution you have? The new one you chose or the maximum?

Does it preserve or not the resolution you chose? That is the problem!

As i told you , mine after reboot always open on the last resolution i had before the reboot !!!
If i choose 1080 then it will open in 1080 without any similiar problem of yours !
So , take and a good look at your tv settings !
And do and a factory reset if it is possible !
Aaa....
I forgot to mention that i have a b922 with the latest 912P0 version!
Regards...

Oh, ok thank you.
I also have a B922 with the latest 912P0 firmware.
If this behavior doesn't happen to you then I should perform a factory reset.
I don't see anything on the TV (LG OLED) that could explain this behavior.
Thanks for your help.

PS: Performed a factory reset. The issue remains: Box boots to 4k. I specify 1080p and set auto mode off. Perform Reboot. Box boots again to 4k. :(
