Notes:
  • This is based on the 905P0-LPDDR4 kernel, but has not yet been tested on the DDR4 variant (S/N code: B922).  If you have one of these, please let me know how it goes.
  • This is unofficial and unsupported, so the usual caveats apply. Since we don't flash the bootloader, you should be able recover from any problems...but nothing is guaranteed.

Instructions:
From OEM stock firmware:
  • Open terminal window (e.g. Terminal Emulator for Android by Jack Palevich)
  • Navigate to location of .IMG file
  • type the following
  1. su
  2. dd if=twrp.img of=/dev/block/recovery
  3. reboot recovery
Copy the Code


From existing TWRP install:
  • Copy .IMG file to flash drive or microSD card
  • Click Install->Select Storage and pick the external drive
  • Click Install Image and select the .IMG file
  • Select Recovery partition and swipe to install
  • Reboot to Recovery
