Yes, you need to replace the existing /vendor/usr/keylayout/Generic.kl.  You'll need root permissions (su) or just use the File Manager or Terminal in TWRP (which already runs as root).

I can not install the TWPR or modify the Generic.kl file .... it tells me impossible backup ....
how does one go into root mode?

That didn't work for me. When deactivating virtual keyboard pressing the enter key on the keyboard don't do anything not even the q letter

You can try the Enter key on the numeric keypad to see if it can be used. We use the normal keyboard is no problem.
