32bit or 64bit???

I was just checking device info using antutu and came up with this...
CPU is 64bit, but android 8.1 (latest update 114N0 firmware) is ony 32bit.
Is there a particular reason for that? Why sw is 32bit since hw supports 64bit??

Interesting. I wonder if it's just with the latest upgrade or always been...?

I'm thinking that It's likely been 32bit since the beginning. Can't see OTA updates changing that.
