Hi Nano33320.
Amlogic USB Burning Tool is fine, just make sure you have the latest installed.
The issue comes from when you was trying to upgrade initially and most likely trying with incompatible firmware. The box original bootloader was replaced with the wrong one, then you faced with ' Black Screen of Death ', or no TV signal and box not recognizable by Amlogic USB Burning Tool when connected.
It's definitely revivable, but it may take some work, and misses.
Just download the SD Card firmware package of the version that your box initially had before attempting the upgrade. Using the SD Card method, and the Factory RESET button that's underneath the unit. You should be-able to cause it to replace the BAD bootloader with the correct one. TV still be shown without a signal, but give it about 2 minutes. If the correct version of the bootloader is placed back on, and it was done right, when hooking it back up to the PC with Amlogic USB Burning Tool running, it should detect the box and allow it to flash it with latest COMPATIBLE firmware! :) |
