I have tried that, I thought much along the same lines but I think it is just the cheap and nasty way this remote is built. I opened mine up and it is pretty nasty in side. The circuitry is just painted on with electric paint and the soldering around the 3 or 4 components is quite poor. I did clean up the connections around the transmitter led and the remote then worked for about 30 mins but dies soon after.
This is a new style remote which is really cheaply built, I would think that a lot of them will malfunction.
I have a new one coming as mine was DOA but I don't think it will last long after seeing the inside of the unit.
I hope the actual GT1 is better constructed ......... |
