I'm kinda ocd about these things so bear with me.

I'm not sure if I should be shutting my unit down or putting it to sleep overnight or for days I won't be using it.
I had it on sleep for most of the day and it's stll warm to touch, usb stick that was pluggid in too so I guess it's still drawing enough power to keep it in sleep but I dont like the warm part, both for longevity of device and power usage.

So my question is what the thread title says, sleep or shutdown?

I keep it always in sleep when not using it. The advantage of this is that some processes are still running on it even in sleep, so, for example, I can copy files to it via ftp without turning it on.

Personal experiences, and knowledge of how the majority in my area uses. I keep mine running and Beelink box automatically sleeps when I turn off the TV. Then I wake up the box via it's remote or Wireless mini-Keyboard. It has been working flawlessly to this aspect for several months now, mine and these owned by others.

Gonan bump this post of mine, ever since I bought it if I'm not gonna use the device again during that day I've been shutting it off.

When it's on sleep it's uncomfortably hot, it leaves the area under the device hot too, like it's been running at full power. Is this how it's supposed to be or ? Otherwise I haven't had any issues just kinda annoying having to wait for it to power on all the time, when I bought it I felt it will be more similar to a cellphone, no heat on sleep whatsoever and can stay like that for a while.

To me it feels like it hasn't gone to standby at all. It's steal hot, if USB stick is inside it will be hot, I can see it's stilll connected to wifi but light is off and it is too supposedly but it's not really sleeping as it's getting warm like when it's on. Any advice?
