Hi, I must addmit that my expectations for this android box were so high that I'm pretty misareble right now...

Since I got my GT1 I've been trying to fix the issue in subject without success, I'm now starting to believe that I have a faulty hardware unit.

Here follows my current situtation:

- Everytime I try to play a 1080p .mkv movie from any source (pen, ethernet, locally) I get this incredibly annoying small breaks which I'm calling stutter
- I've tried some of the media players available (KODI, MX player, Plex), just to find that the problem happens in all of them
- I've reseted the device back to factory defaults, the issue remains
- I've tried running the videos through my gigabit ethernet newtork from an SSD disk and an HDD, the problem happens in both of them
- I've tried to check on the web for simillar reports but didn't found any relevant information
- I've tried to upgrading the firmware to the newest version but the issue is still there
- I've tried different versions of KODI / QODI and the problem happens always

It seems somehow that the unit processing power can't keep up with a 1080p mvk file, which is very odd since it even states that can play 4k...

I'm humble to recognize I'm not an expert on this matters, far from it, so I ask for you help, either Beelink support directly or the community.

My current perception of the brand is unfortunately hurt.

Best Regards,
GJ

I have the same problem, really annoying, the device is unusable.
The processor is supposed to be the best, but software problems prevent him from it.

Install SPMC 16.5.0 [change skin to the same as kodi and it will look 100% the same]
install autoframe rate fix [search the post way back for the .apk]
disable in SPMC the HQ scalers.

now it should run smoothly because you will have both hardware decoding & a synced framerate.
Without these the box is pretty much useless for

Hey thanks for the reply, I've done everything you said except the HQ scalers disable which I don't find that option? So far the stutter is still there but since I'm missing that disable I'm still with some hope!

it's the SPMC  Settings / Video / Acceleration  - enable HQ scalers for scaling above -Never [+all the codecs there should be ON]
check the Playback section [just above] and make sure the "Adjust display refresh rate is set to Always"

also make sure that the autoframe actually works .. you need to set the correct permissions via SuperSU.. and get the 'autoframefix has been granted.... " message when your box starts. You can check the refresh rate on your tv to see that it matches that of the material you are watching. if it doesn't it's not working correctly. On my LG tv I don't see the refresh rate but when the autoframe fix is working the REAL CINEMA optiion is enabled in the TV menu.
without that there is no chance that a 24/25fps video plays smoothly via a 60Hz refresh rate.

I'm sorry but if you are sure that the
1. autoframe fix is working [you get the autoframe fix has been granted permission... message each time you start the box]
2. Adjust display refresh rate is set to Always
3 .disabled the HQ scallers
4. Running the custom SPMC 16.5.0
there isn't anything else I can thing of. I'm running firmware version 107 on the G912 version of the box and for me playback is now as smooth as netflix. maybe that's what's different.

Hi All,
i have the same issue as you describe, but i have for all movies, no matter of the quality. It is the same for SD, HD ready, HD or UHD. Previously i haven't this issue, but i bought new smart tv - samsung and GT1 is now remotely controlled (hdmi-cec)  by samsung smart remote. Before that i was with an old LG non smart tv (2010) without hdmi cec
I test evertyhing as you, firmware reset, kodi reset, attach 7200 3.5" external hdd, the same issue.
I'm not sure if this playback stutter was immediately after i attach GT1 to samsung smart tv...
Another test that i perform was to change the HDMI cable, again the same issue, so my last option it try to attach gt1 to my bedroom's tv, which is not smart and check the issue.
