If you used earlier firmware to GT1_313M0, then make sure you upgrade. Look at the 'Based On:' information to make sure your upgrading by proper step(S). You don't skip to the latest always if you couple versions behind.

If you planning on having Android 7, the SD Card method as you read already doesn't work. Use the USB method to install. Unlike the other method, this you can jump to the latest even if you few versions behind. However It's best to-do it now than later after you customize the box to the way you've want it. This require you to re-do everything all over again.
