Hi!

My GT1 is connected thru optical to the receiver, that supports ac3 and dts (logitech z906)
In android settings: digital audio -> spidf
AC3 with no problems, decoded by the receiver, but if I choose DTS audio on kodi, the receiver shows decoded DTS for about half second and then nothing, only a click sound and then silent.

Am I missing something?

Thx in advance.

No, It's not. KODI 17 removed AMLogic codec hack and started to used standard Android audio API which is broken on the GT1 firmware as is on the rest of 912 boxes.

You can use this workaround with Kodi 17 and up until the Android on GT1 is fixed: Switch off DTS PT support and enable AC3 transcoding. This way you get 5.1 audio PT over SPDIF from DTS encoded sources. It works for me.

Hello all! have the same problem with the DTS sound in .mkv files. My gt1 came with Kodi 16.1 jarvis and couldn't give me the DTS...upgraded to 17, same. Tried connecting the gt1 to my AV receiver both through HDMI and also digital optic cable. Tried with and without pass through. AC3 audio works just fine and I also think that Dolby D works fine.
I quite don't understand if it's a problem of Kodi or it's a problem of Beelink hardware.
Generally speaking, if you choose the pass through function the player should let the audio signal go to the receiver somehow untouched (i guess...) so that the AV receiver will decode the audio signal and send the correct sounds to the speakers. Is that correct? If I take out the pass through function, than the Kodi should decode the DTS signal...

I see vits71 gave an workaround for kodi 17 but I quite don't understand where should i swith off DTS PT support...is this an option in the android settings, in kodi settings, or...?
thanks all to any sort of feedback!

Guys,  please enlighten me,  why are you connecting the digital audio when the box is already connected by HDMI????
