If I am posting in the wrong thread, I apologize, but I have no idea about much of this.

Hey guys, new here and new to Android boxes.  I am trying to figure this stuff out, and like others I am having the green screen flashes, and the dark screen.  What is the best way to install these ROMs ( I have seen SuPers and there was another smpc???  Do you update via the box on the tv, or do you use computers?

I also tried a dark screen fix using this:

1. Download the archive h**ps://yadi.sk/d/94s27z7L33Uxuf
Select any video file!
2. Rename the video file to "bootvideo"(with empty file extension).
3. Copy to Folder
\ System \ etc \

Confirm the replacement if necessary
3. Expose the permissions 644 (rw-r - r--), if they are different.
4. In the file
\ System \ build.prop
Modify
service.bootvideo = 1

I tried modifying the service.bootvideo = 0 to 1 but none of the editors allowed me to do it, won't let me save.  Says I am not rooted.  I thought these were rooted as of October?

Also, sorry for being a pain in the ass, (but I don't have a manual lol) but while watching a show last night, all of a sudden I heard a beep, saw a button show up on the tv, a note says press enter to install, but nothing I do works.  Any idea what this is? Some kind of update?

Thanks sham...uh, how exactly do I do that?  I tried looking around the system and settings but didn't find a way to do so.  I feel like such an idiot, I am sure it's easy lol.
