My newly acquired SEi8 is powering off, and won't respond for several minutes after, no matter how much I unplug it and plug it back in.

When I pull the board out of the case, I can get it to run prime95 "blended" torture test for an hour at least, but in the case it dies almost immediately after turning the test on.

When it was given to me, it was discovered the heatsink screws were missing, and the heatsink had come off.  After cleaning and reapplying heatsink paste and the proper screws, still having the same issue. The fan seems to be turning normally, is not loud at all.

This leads me to believe that there may be a pinhole in the heat pipe of the heatsink, so it's not working properly.  I cannot seem to find anywhere to purchase this heatsink, though.. Is there somewhere I can buy one?

Hi there,

We can sell the fan replacement, but not the heatsink .
If you change the heatsink, you also need to reapply the thermal paste, it is not easy to do it.

Hi there,

i was a pc tech for 15 years, reapplying thermal paste isn't that hard with the right equipment (that i do have).

If you can't sell me a heatsink, can you give me a part number or tell me who can?
