Hi,

I bought Beelink SER5 Max with Ryzen 7 5800H and before I purchased it, I emailed Beelink to confirm it would support HDR.

Beelink support confirmed twice.

However. It does not. In Windows settings it says no HDR is supported. My display and HDMI cable supports HDR (worked flawlessly from my Mac Mini).

I have installed the latest AMD driver package.

Does it support HDR or not?
Is there a setting I have overlooked?
What to do?

OK. In my settings it simply says that my display does not support HDR. Neither by playing streaming HDR video or use HDR.

But both display and cable are capable of HDR. Works just fine with my Mac Mini using same cable and display.

Help help. What am I missing?

FYI, I am using a Samsung Q80T TV.
The HDMI Port number 4 supports HDMI 2.1. That is the port I have connected the Beelink to. And that is the port that was also used with my Mac Mini where HDR worked flawlessly.

Hi,
I've had problems with HDRon my Dell monitor in the past, connected to my previous Mini-PC (not a beelink one). I remember finding a way to have HDR work. To solve this issue I think I install Dell Display Manager. And I also wonder if it hasn't something to do with color profiles that disabled HDR functionality.

On my brand new SER8 with the same Dell HDR/4K monitor, HDR works fine. Maybe you can try to go in the advanced settings in Windows Update, and download optional updates (they install updates drivers for you computer) and see if it does something.

Ensure your HDMI cable is HDMI 2.0+, check Windows and AMD settings for HDR toggles, update drivers, and try different refresh rates or ports.
