Ser 6p ram upgrade

I want to upgrade my unit to 32gb ram , I see 5600 is installed but unit only uses 4800 speed. Should i just buy 4800 ddr5 instead of the 5600 ? will it run the same

in regards to speed and compatability

Hi the SER6 with 6900HX processor (model 2024, smaller than the previous ones) supports DDR5-4800 RAM, you may also install higher speed RAM but it will only run with 4800 MHz. So if you plan to upgrade go with good quality DDR5-4800 RAM (should also be cheaper than higher speed RAM).

hello , your machine is ser p 6900 HX, right? if that so, the maximum it supports is DDR5 4800MHZ 64GB. thanks
