@rxtx, the kernel version would be useful only if the sound card was not being detected. In your case it seems it's being detected, so the kernel is not an issue.
If you plug table speakers with an internal amplifier (most of them have and you see a physical volume knob), then SER7 sound output won't be a problem.
However, if you plug headphones, most likely you'll need an amplifier because the sound output voltage of SER7 is ridiculously low. Those portable headphone amplifiers are super tiny and cheap (5 usd or so), and for that reason I believe it's worth it.
I have both Windows and Linux and the difference in volume is zero, literally zero. So what you say about the implementation on Linux not being good is nonsense. |
