I have a SER5 5600H and yes you can use a simple $3 adapter USB-C -> HDMI for instance, it appears in the system as DP. I tested a 4K screen and it ouputs at 30Hz, maybe a 1080p screen will do 60Hz.

how about you try to use a type c to type c cable and then see if that will do 60hz, thanks
