I am currently using Mini PC S12 Pro.

I'm trying to connect the external hard drive to the USB port of the MiniPC.
The 2.5-inch external hard drive works well, but only the 3.5-inch external hard drive does not work. (The external hard drive light comes on, but there is no response inside the PC.)
Mini PC uses a 12V 3A power adapter,
The 3.5-inch external hard drive used a 12V 2A power adapter.

Has anyone experienced the same symptoms?

For reference, the 3.5-inch external hard drive is WD Elements 16TB.

Hello there,

Thanks for your letter and sorry for the late reply.

16TB is too big, this mini pc can not run this 3.5-inch SSD because of the lack of power supply。
May I ask you that have you power to your 3.5" hard drive via other power supply?

Looking forward to your feedback so that we can help you better.

Hello there,

Thanks for your letter and sorry for the late reply.

Thank you very much for your response to help me.

The 3.5-inch external hard drive (16TB HDD) I am using is powered through a 12V 2A power supply.

The Mini S12 Pro also has a power supply.
It is powered by a 12V 3A adapter.

If you connect a 3.5-inch external hard drive through the USB port of the mini PC, rather than installing it inside the mini PC, wouldn't it be possible to operate a 16TB hard drive?

If the cause is a lack of power, is there a way to supply more power?

Hello there,

May I ask you that have you initialized your 16TB HDD?

It's a 16TB external hard drive that I used in another PC (tower desktop), so I'm planning to use it by connecting it to a mini PC right away without initializing it.

Hello there,

Thanks for your letter and sorry for the late reply.

Thank you very much for providing a solution.
If the problem can be solved with 19V 3.42A, is the reason the 3.5-inch external hard drive did not work because the 12V power supply was insufficient?

I'm going to try using the method you provided.
S12 Pro uses 12V 3A. But is it possible to connect a 19V 3.42A power supply adapter? (Will it be the right size?)
Also, the S12 Pro operates at 12V 3A. Will there be any problems such as overload even if it operates at 19V?
How do I make S12 Pro work with 19V 3.42A power supply?

Hello we can send you a new 19V 3.42A for your EQ12.
Please contact our Beelink Support
Please send ...

I want to continue using the S12 Pro, but if I want to use it with a 3.5-inch external hard drive, I have no choice but to first return the S12 Pro and purchase the EQ19, as you said.

I will ask for help if I need it.

Thank you very much for your help.
