We bought now 4 beelink SER 6 Max 7735HS, and 1 SER 5 5560U

The Wifi behaviour is very strange, all tested at the same place with the same keyboard, monitor, etc.

The SER 5 Wifi is excellent, about 1 MB/s (at least for the situation here)

SER 6 7735HS models with 16GB are around 500-700 kB/s
1 SER 6 7735HS model with 32GB is about 40-150kB/s.

Same behavior at different times with same download file always.

Wenn I connect the SER to a wifi-repeater directly beside the pc via Ethernet, but note the reapeater gets the signal also via WIFI, the performance is a lot better with all pcs. It is about 3 MB/s then,

So I am guessing, the metal body of the SER 6 reduces Wifi-speed. Is this the case?

The 32G model will be replaced by a 16G model and was sent back to the seller.

Hello there
Maybe you can try to reset the wifi card. But if you plan to return this machine, I don’t recommend you do this.
So You can try reinstall  the WiFi driver:https://mega.nz/folder/PvpElJrA#bcrK_JB3c39ITsOxxvcazQ

First I want to make clear, that I think Beelink is one of the best brands for mini pcs. At least it is the best of all I tested. This wifi problem is really weird. We need 4 pcs minimum. 2 of the SER6 Max 16GB 7735HS are really unusable. You notice this very soon after starting the pc, if Wifi is very very bad. At the moment I have 2  SER6 Max 16GB 7735HS which have a bad but acceptable Wifi-Performance. At the end, I need performance for reading websites and not gaming.

Maybe you can try to reset the wifi card.

How can I do this? I think I have to remove the nvme for this.

But if you plan to return this machine, I don’t recommend you do this.

I think if I change the NVME, this could be done easily. I think the wifi module is below the NVME.

So You can try reinstall  the WiFi drive

I fear this doesn't help, performance is bad with Windows and Linux. My solution is to buy a wifi range extender for every SER6 and connect via ethernet. I tried this already and this brings a very good performance. But then I have to see how relianle ethernet is, as read, a newer firmware helps. At the moment I have problems with email, so the firmware update must wait.

I recommend to buy a D-Link DAP-X1860 EXO AX1800 Mesh Wi-Fi 6 Range Extender, it is below 30€, flashing openwrt is easy, if you want. I used it with wifi and ethernet, 30cm distance. The ethernet conncection, which is actually using wifi, is a lot faster, let's say 3 times. Don't know how stable ethernet is, had troubles with ethernet too. I did a lot testing with iperf3 and iperf2 (needed for AVM Fritzbox)
