Keen to replace the included P3 Plus for something better and more durable. Given it's a 5800h a gen 4 drive like the Samsung 980 Pro won't run at full speed.

Is it still compatible to use a gen 4 drive like or a Firecuda 530 etc? Also is there sufficient cooling to run something like that without a dedicated heatsink, just using the alreayd provided thermal pad?

Hello there
Our machine can support Gen4 SSD, but it will not have the speed of gen4.
BTW, you don't need to add another cooling device for your SSD.

Yeah I understand the backwards compatibility aspect, personally may opt for a cooler running more economical Gen 3. Thanks
